Intentions For 2021...

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a safe holiday season. Despite things looking very different this year than usual, I enjoyed taking time over the holidays to unwind and slow down. This gave me space for some much much needed self-reflection to think about how my life has changed over the course of a year and where I want to go in 2021.

I'm happy to say that I'm now content writing full-time and I'm continuing my studies as I work towards my English degree. As I looked back on the goals I set for myself in 2020 I was suprised to see that I had actually met many of them, but one that I did not meet was my target of reading 12 novels over the course of the year.

It can be hard to make time to read for pleasure when life gets busy, but I decided to double down on this goal for 2021 and I am hoping to read 24 novels over the course of the year. So far I've finished one and started another. Keep an eye out for upcoming review posts!

More specifically then just reading 24 novels in 2021, I am striving to primarily consume novels written by BIPOC authors, specifically women. This goal has already led me to compile a list of extremely exciting and diverse stories that I can't wait to get into. The beautiful thing about literature is that even though we can't travel the world physically right now, we can still use our minds to travel through books.
